Prà di Saccagnana

Prà di Saccagnana

The Prà di Saccagnana is a charming rural complex located in the heart of the Cavallino-Treporti lagoon, characterized by a rich historical and cultural heritage. Dominated by the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine and the Zanella Manor House, dating back to the 17th century, the village reflects the agricultural and bourgeois roots of the area. The church, built in 1623, is an example of typical religious architecture of the period, while the villa, with its majestic staircase and façade, represents a Venetian villa style in the lagoon setting.

Over the centuries, Prà di Saccagnana has been an important reference point for Venetian noble families and local communities, mainly engaged in agriculture and fishing. Today, the village retains its rural atmosphere and hosts traditional events, such as the "Succhetta" festival (celebrating the yellow plum fruit) in July, continuing to symbolize the history and culture of the region.
