The Church of Santa Maria Elisabetta, located in Cavallino-Treporti, has a history dating back to the 18th century, although traces of a religious building already existed in 1591.
Reconstructed and expanded over the years, it now houses important works of art, including an altarpiece attributed to Antonio Balestra. The bell tower, rebuilt in 1906, was recently restored. In the square in front of the church, the War Memorial, featuring a horse and four grenades, pays tribute to the fallen of the world wars.
The square was recently redeveloped with the addition of a panoramic terrace overlooking the lagoon. From this terrace, you can enjoy spectacular sunsets, observe local wildlife, and watch traditional Venetian rowing competitions, a sport historically connected to the community.
