ATVO tickets purchasable with QR Code on board and at stops

QR Code ATVO at bus stops and on board in Cavallino-Treporti

ATVO INTRODUCES QR CODES FOR ONLINE TICKET PURCHASE

ATVO introduces a new system for purchasing public transport tickets online: QR Codes are available at bus stops and inside buses.

Purchasing an ATVO ticket is now easier thanks to the new QR Codes placed on timetable boards at bus stops and on board buses, next to the electronic validator.

How it works

By scanning the code with a smartphone camera, the user is automatically directed to the DaAaB application. The departure stop is already selected: simply indicate the destination to view the route, find out the travel cost and purchase the ticket online by credit card.

The service can be used both before departure, directly at the bus stop, and after boarding the bus. After an initial trial phase on the urban lines of Jesolo and Cavallino-Treporti, the system has been extended to all lines operated by ATVO. The new purchasing method is designed to make travel easier, particularly for visitors less familiar with the area.

Updates to bus displays

A further update concerns bus displays: in addition to the destination, the line number is now also shown. This makes it easier to cross-reference the information on timetable boards with what is displayed on the vehicle and identify the correct bus.

The introduction of QR Codes complements the services available on the ATVO website, through which travellers can find all the information needed to plan their journey and purchase tickets online.
